2,996 Tibute for Mark Ludvigsen

My dear subscribers,
I count myself honored to be part of the 2,996 Tribute to the lives lost on 9/11/2001. When I signed up at Beau's urging, I drew the name of Mark Lud Ludvigsen. I quickly gathered info about Mark online and promptly set it aside for later composition. Our assigned task was to write a blog tribute to our person and post it in our blog on 9/11 (Monday.) Marks information remained on my desk for over a month. I had read it, sure, but hadnt started to write his story as I had planned. I was going to take my time with this one, write it out as the story of his life.
But my life got in the way. I have a husband and three boys, I work and go to school, when was I planning to get to this? This week, as the time drew near for my tribute to be posted, I realized that I needed to get on it. I re-read Marks info and decided that I would write Luds tribute as my first poem submission as a regular poetry writer for the Blue Doodle. I finished it last night and submitted it.
Im nervous. Despite all of my blogging this last week, Im not (I repeat, not) a poet. I have never considered myself a poet. Jons the poet. Im a reader and an editor. Thats what I do.
I guess what Im saying is that I need your support. I know this means getting up off your asses (OK, so you can do it sitting down) and clicking another link below and then clicking your back button to leave a comment, but I really want your feedback on this one.

2,996 Tribute to Mark "Lud" Ludvigsen
Let me know what you think of my poem. Also, take a few minutes and appreciate your life. Log off my space and spend time with your families and friends. Appreciate what you have and cherish it because, as evidenced by the tragedy of 9/11, it can be taken from us at any moment.
Live and love life.
I'm back from the mountians and ready to reply to your comments!
Tuesdays my birthday!
